Company Terms
These Company Terms apply to corporate users, authorized representatives, and Empaneling Companies that create profiles or publish opportunities on PlaceMePal. By registering as a corporate user or submitting a listing, you agree to these terms with Astrosia Technologies LLP ("Astrosia").
1. Role of Astrosia
PlaceMePal is a marketplace and intermediary platform. Astrosia provides listing tools, application routing, optional verification review, and platform-managed engagement infrastructure. Astrosia is not your agent for hiring decisions and does not guarantee candidate quality, availability, or performance.
2. Company accounts and limits
- Corporate users may create up to three companies per account unless otherwise agreed in writing with Astrosia
- You must provide accurate business information and keep contact details current
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and authorized users
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, or legal risk
3. Verification
Business verification is performed by PlaceMePal / Astrosia based on documents and information you submit. Verification indicates review completed at a point in time; it is not a credit check, regulatory license, or ongoing audit of your operations. Astrosia disclaims liability for relying on verification badges beyond their intended purpose.
4. Publishing opportunities
- All opportunities require master admin approval before going live
- You warrant that titles, descriptions, compensation notes, work mode, and requirements are accurate, lawful, and not misleading
- Opportunities may be labeled full-time, part-time, remote, hybrid, or onsite; such labels describe expected engagement only
- You must not post pyramid schemes, unlawful telemarketing, or roles requiring candidates to pay fees to you without clear disclosure and compliance with law
- Astrosia may edit, reject, pause, or remove listings at its discretion
5. Independent contractor relationship
For platform-managed opportunities, candidates engage as independent contractors with Astrosia / PlaceMePal, not as your employees, unless you enter a separate direct engagement approved by Astrosia. You must not represent that candidates are your employees during platform-managed engagements without written agreement.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of independent contractors complies with laws in India and in your jurisdiction, including classification, notices, and any local requirements for empanelled or remote workers.
6. Default and direct engagement
- Default: platform-managed engagement with Astrosia intermediation and candidate protection under the Protection Policy
- Direct engagement: available only with master admin opt-in; removes freelancer protected status; you assume primary responsibility for terms, payments, taxes, and disputes with candidates
- Direct engagement must be clearly indicated on affected opportunities; candidates must confirm before applying
7. Applications and interviews
You receive candidate applications and related materials through the Platform. You are responsible for lawful handling of applicant data under applicable privacy laws. Astrosia is not liable for your hiring decisions, interview conduct, or failure to respond to applicants.
8. Premium and commercial terms
Premium ranking, featured placement, deposits, and commercial arrangements are governed by separate agreements via Contact Sales. Published listing features may change; fees are as agreed in writing.
9. Confidentiality and materials
Preparation materials you upload may contain confidential information. You grant candidates a limited right to use materials solely for the relevant opportunity. You must not misuse candidate data or Platform intellectual property.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astrosia from claims, fines, damages, and costs (including legal fees) arising from your listings, misclassification of workers, tax or labor violations, inaccurate job descriptions, data protection breaches attributable to you, or company-direct engagements you operate.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided as-is. Astrosia disclaims warranties regarding candidate fit, revenue outcomes, or regulatory compliance of your business model. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astrosia's aggregate liability arising from these Company Terms is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
12. Governing law
These Company Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory law.
